This compressed description, is about my late dear friend Lois Bruno, with her unique native American heritage (and niece of the former late Representative, Shirley Chisholm), whom I first met when she visited Barbados in 1973 accompanied by members of the Seale family, who are part of the “Chisholm family inclusive”, and who became a pen pal afterwards and visited her adopted Homeland on a number of occasions and on one such, when I was her host. Lois’ family welcomed me into the land that became my longtime residence but initially as a student and whom I ran into in October 1981 (just prior to completing my undergraduate studies in December of that year at Pratt) and she asked me to be the godfather for her young son, Michael Bruno, which I agreed too do. From the post THE OUTSPOKEN PEN PAL WHO BECAME A FRIEND.
